The Summer of 2009

Wow...... It has arrived and is almost over. People world over look forward to the summer as the perfect time to hit the beach and just let their hair down. For me, this summer was particularly interesting because it is the first I will get to see with my son, for the most part, and to celebrate his first birthday.

I am having and plan to continue to have a wonderful summer vacation. I always look forward to the summer mainly for recuperation from the mental drain received throughout the school year. School was more demanding this year due to the fact that I chose to teach for the summer as well. That is now over and I am well over one (1) week of vacation in Fort Lauderdale, what seem like shopping forever, more so than a vacation. It actually was the latter for the most part. I will not say who was doing the shopping in order to preserve some peace.

I will now enjoy the best part of the summer. The stay home alone part.
